Special Baby Care Room At Railway Station , Vadodara

The Children’s Hospital Inaugurates Baby Care Room at Vadodara Railway Station on World Breastfeeding Week

As part of World Breastfeeding Week 2025, The Children’s Hospital (TCH), Vadodara, proudly inaugurated a dedicated “Baby Care Room” within the patient waiting areas (Ladies Waiting Room and AC Waiting Room) on Platform No. 1 of Vadodara Railway Station.

The facility was inaugurated by Honourable Member of Parliament Dr. Hemang Joshi, in the presence of Dr. Nitin Agarwal, Chairman of The Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Mukesh Nagar, Director, Neonatology at TCH.

This thoughtful initiative aims to provide a clean, private, and supportive environment for mothers to comfortably breastfeed and care for their infants while traveling—aligning with this year’s global theme of “Prioritize Breadtfeeding : Create Sustainable Support Systems.”

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nitin Agarwal emphasized, “As a responsible healthcare institution, we feel privileged to contribute to public welfare and promote sustainable breastfeeding practices. Supporting mothers in public spaces is a crucial step toward improving child health and nutrition.”

Dr. Mukesh Nagar added, “Breastfeeding is not just a personal choice; it’s a public health priority. Our aim is to normalize and facilitate breastfeeding in all environments, especially transit hubs like railway stations.”

The Children’s Hospital extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Railways and Vadodara Railway Division for their support and collaboration in making this vision a reality.

Through this initiative, TCH reinforces its commitment to child health and maternal care beyond hospital walls—ensuring every mother feels supported, even while on the move.
